AEW: MJF Accepts Cody’s Challenge, Darby Allin Wants a Rematch Against Cody

MJF

MJF accepted Cody’s challenge tonight on Dynamite, but said that there will be stipulations, which he’ll reveal on the January 1 Dynamite in Jacksonville.

After cutting an in-ring promo on Cody, MJF said, “You’re on! But… Cody, I got a couple of stipulations here, bud. And I’ll tell you those stipulations, but I’m not going to tell you them here in Honkyville, USA, Texas. Cody, I’m gonna give you the stipulations in Jacksonville.”

Darby Allin

After Cody Rhodes and his partner QT Marshall lost to The Butcher and The Blade tonight on Dynamite, a defeated Cody sat at ringside until Darby Allin walked down and extended his hand to help him up, seemingly as a sign of friendship.

Later on Twitter, Darby said that he’ll join Cody for a tag team match against The Butcher and The Blade, but if they win, he wants a rematch against Cody. On June 29 at AEW Fyter Fest, Darby wrestled Cody to a 20 minute time limit draw in Darby’s AEW debut.
