Rey Mysterio Comments on Future of His Career and Current Plans for Dominik’s Wrestling Career

Sportskeeda held a recent interview with Rey Mysterio discussing the future of his career and the current plans for his son Dominik’s wrestling career.

“It’s really hard to say right now because I feel so motivated and so driven by the sport. I could change my mind a week from now or a year from now – but, as of right now, I really feel like I’m picking up a second wind.

To have my son follow in my footsteps, which wasn’t in the plan three years ago, I think that, as well as the fans being the way they are, being so appreciative of the time I’ve put into this business, it makes me want to keep going.

I hope that we can all get the chance to see him in 2020. I’m just as excited as the fans to see him step into the ring and have an official match.

I definitely would love to potentially share the ring with him one day. I think, after that happens, I can retire peacefully.”

Both Vince McMahon and “Triple H” Paul Levesque reportedly were not in Minneapolis for this past Sunday’s TLC event, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Dave Meltzer reported that the event was put together the way Vince wanted it to be, with Vince and Triple H involved in the production meeting prior to the show via conference call, but they were not backstage during the event and instead it was both Paul Heyman and Bruce Prichard who were running the actual show. Heyman reportedly was in charge of the RAW matches while Prichard was in charge of the SmackDown matches due to those being their respective brands.

WWE Announces Ticket Information for NXT TakeOver: Portland

WWE announced that tickets for NXT TakeOver: Portland will officially go on sale to the general public on December 20th starting at 10:00AM PST. It was also announced that a pre-sale for the event will take place on December 19th starting at 10:00AM PST.

NXT TakeOver: Portland takes place on February 16th at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon and will air live on the WWE Network.
