PWInsider reported tonight that WWE has moved this Friday’s SmackDown from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando over coronavirus concerns.
But shortly after, WWE released a statement to media saying that they’re not canceling the show in Detroit yet but “are putting contingency plans in place.”
WWE has not cancelled Friday Night SmackDown in Detroit, however, based on the current situation, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that upcoming WWE shows are cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues.
A developing story… Several large events are being canceled, including the NBA being put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
