Karrion Kross relinquished the NXT Championship on tonight’s episode, four days after winning the title from Keith Lee at TakeOver on Saturday.
Kross suffered a separated shoulder during the TakeOver match. There’s still no word on how much time he’s going to miss, but if he’s dropping the title, it’s likely at least a month.
Kross came out with Scarlett to start the show tonight and said he has a separated shoulder and “there’s no way they’re gonna let me defend the NXT Championship in this condition. On the path, there are obstacles. But for me, the obstacles are the path.” He then placed the NXT title in the ring and promised that he’ll be back to continue where he left off.
To crown the new champ, William Regal announced that there will be a four way 60 minute iron man match next Tuesday (NXT is airing on Tuesday next week) between Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and Finn Balor.
