WWE did a test run of the WWE ThunderDome setup earlier today, inviting some people from their mailing list to join in and be part of the virtual crowd.
There were three matches for the preview audience. Jake Atlas vs. Tehuti Miles, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs. Jessi Kamea & Indi Hartwell, and Ridge Holland vs. Mansoor.
Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin noted that there didn’t appear to be any sound coming from the different fans on screen and WWE instead piped in fake crowd noise.
WWE also opted to not put fans in virtual “seats” like the NBA does and instead showed each person’s actual background. We’ll see how it comes off tomorrow on SmackDown…
