The past three weeks of NXT episodes have run unopposed against AEW Dynamite due to NBA and NHL playoffs coverage on both USA Network and TNT. NXT’s viewership and key demographic rankings have seen a healthy improvement during these past few weeks compared to their numbers since the start of the coronavirus pandemic and for most of 2020.
WrestleVotes reported that WWE officials have held internal talks over the past month or so regarding the idea of moving NXT off of Wednesdays and to a different night instead.
It was also reported that no official decision is imminent for now but NXT’s ratings for this week’s and next Tuesday’s episodes might be a factor towards any decision made.
The past three unopposed weeks of NXT have drawn the show’s three highest viewer numbers in 2020.
Over the past month or so, discussions have transpired regarding NXT moving off Wednesday nights. No decision imminent, however, talks are ongoing. The numbers over the next 2 weeks might have some impact on this decision.
