WWE is making tentative plans to travel again and run shows in different venues after their ThunderDome contract with the Amway Center expires next month, according to a report by Inside the Ropes.
WWE’s contract with the Amway Center expires on October 31.
WWE wrestlers have been told that tentative plans are in place to start traveling to other venues soon, the report says.
Of course, plans could always change and WWE could end up extending their deal with the Amway Center. The possibility of moving to other venues could also be used by WWE to leverage a better deal for an extension. If there’s another coronavirus spike, that could also change WWE’s plans.
WrestleVotes also reported earlier this month that WWE was considering running shows from outdoor venues.
Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD.
