As noted before, WWE announced earlier this week that Drew McIntyre had tested positive for the coronavirus and has been pulled from WWE television for quarantine reasons. During Monday’s episode of RAW, McIntyre stated that he is currently not suffering from any symptoms of the coronavirus.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that McIntrye had experience some minimal symptoms related to the coronavirus. McIntyre reportedly informed others that he was unsure how he contracted COVID since he very rarely leaves his home on days he does not work during the pandemic.
Meltzer also reported that WWE officials currently believe that McIntyre did not contract COVID from their Legends Night taping of RAW due to him testing negative a few days after the show. WWE officials also currently believe McIntrye will be ready in time to compete in his scheduled WWE Championship match against Goldberg at their Royal Rumble 2021 event later this month.
