Four WWE Wrestlers Reportedly Recently Tested Positive for COVID-19

As noted before, WWE announced that Drew McIntyre recently tested positive for the coronavirus and was pulled from this past Monday’s episode of RAW as a result. Several other talent from WWE, AEW, and Impact also reportedly have recently tested positive causing some issues with current plans and television tapings for those companies.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that at least four talent are currently known to have tested positive but only McIntyre’s name has been revealed. Of the other three, Meltzer stated that one is from the SmackDown brand who was originally scheduled to appear and later pulled from this past Friday’s episode. Another reportedly is from WWE’s NXT brand and the fourth person reportedly is a “big star” who had recently returned from a previous coronavirus infection.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that of the notable RAW brand talent who were absent from this past Monday’s episode of RAW, none had tested positive and instead were seen backstage but not used for the show. The talent in question were Cedric Alexander, Asuka, Shelton Benjamin, Nikki Cross, Humberto Carrillo, and Ricochet. Johnson also reported that Angel Garza was another notable RAW brand talent who did not appear during the show but did make an appearance afterwards on RAW Talk on Monday.
