Thea Trinidad, formerly Zelina Vega, has signed a “somewhat short-term” deal with an undisclosed company, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The Observer says that they don’t know which company it is or even if it’s a wrestling promotion, but it’s not AEW.
The door isn’t shut on her eventually signing with AEW, but it won’t be “any time imminently,” they added. It’s not known yet how long the “somewhat short-term” deal is.
Last month, Tony Khan told Wrestling Observer Radio that he’d be interested in Vega once her WWE non-compete was up. “Isn’t she in a 90 day non-compete? She was in a non-compete last time I checked,” he said. “I’ve been waiting for that. I don’t talk to people when they have the non-compete. If hers’ expired, it must have just expired. When we get through this [Women’s Eliminator] tournament and through this [Full Gear] pay-per-view, I’d be interested to see where she’s at.”
WWE granted Andrade his release request last week and he has no non-compete clause, so he’s free to sign anywhere now.
Start my new goals and we are in talks, no waiting for 90 days. A empezar mis nuevas metas y empezamos pláticas, nada de esperar 90 días! 🇯🇵🇨🇱🇲🇽🇺🇸🇬🇧
