As noted before, WWE released another batch of talent on Friday primarily targeting their 205 Live and NXT brands. Included in the releases was one writer from their creative team.
Fightful Select reported that WWE President Nick Khan held a meeting on Friday and made the decision to go forward with a new batch of roster cuts. It was reported that there were more talent set to be released as part of this newest batch of cuts and others who have been released but their names have not been leaked nor confirmed yet. It was also reported that some talent who were set to be released yesterday were “saved” from being cut at the last minute.
In regards to those released from WWE’s 205 Live brand, it was reported that several talent had been on higher monetary contracts than what WWE has been giving for new talent assigned to that brand in recent times.
In regards to non-compete clauses, Tony Nese and Killian Dain reportedly both have 90-days non-compete while August Grey reportedly has a 30-day non-compete clause.
