NXT has TV tapings set for next Monday and Tuesday at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, according to Bryan Alvarez.
At this point, it’s unclear if NXT will go back to being taped in advance or if this is a temporary thing. The majority of shows have been live since it moved to USA Network. Florida, where the show is taped, is currently going through a big COVID-19 spike, with daily infections the previous peak back in January, so that could have something to do with this.
It was rumored last week that there may be some changes coming to NXT, so it’s also possible that this could be part of that.
The two nights of TV tapings will follow NXT TakeOver 36 this Sunday, August 22.
Update
PWInsider says that the current plan is for NXT to go back to airing live on September 14.
So three episodes will be taped on August 23 and 24.
