The “word going around is that it seems to be a lock” that Ric Flair will be headed to AEW once he’s legally able to sign with them, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Flair requested and obtained his release from WWE on August 2. While there’s no confirmation, the assumption is that he has a 90 day non-compete.
Flair has been friends with Tony Khan for years, going back to before the start of AEW.
