Two episodes of WWE Friday Night SmackDown reportedly will not be airing on FOX during the month of October, according PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that the October 15th episode and the October 29th episode will air instead on FS1 due to FOX’s MLB Playoffs 2021 commitments.
This will be the third year in a row that SmackDown will be preempted and air instead on another FOX-owned network due to FOX’s current contract with MLB for their playoff games. The October 25, 2019 episode drew 888,000 viewers and the October 23, 2020 episode drew 881,000 viewers on FS1.
