In-Ring: Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, Carmela, Liv Morgan

WWE SmackDown kicks off with highlights of SummerSlam. We see Becky Lynch coming back and winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Bianca Belair.

We cut to the arena and out comes the new champion Becky Lynch. Becky says the Man is back in Little Rock. She says she is back and back on top. Becky says she misses them and when she had to give up her Raw Championship, it was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. She said it felt as if she was giving up her identity and her life as she knew it. But she is working hard to go back to where she was.

She says she does have a new life, new priorities. But she’s more dangerous now. She says she would like to say she is sorry for absolutely nothing. She has been in the WWE for long enough to know that it’s all about timing. It’s all when opportunity meets preparation and all she needed was an opportunity. She says she has been working hard every day.

Out comes Bianca Belair.

She gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. The fans chant “EST”. Bianca says she is not out here to make excuses because that’s not her style. But if Becky thinks she is ok with what happened at SummerSlam, she isn’t. Bianca says she is the one that has been here working too hard for too long and she won’t allow Becky to erase all of that in 26 seconds.

Belair says she accepted Becky’s last minute challenge and she challenges Becky to a match tonight. Out comes Zelina Vega. Zelina says is this what the “EST” of WWE has been reduced to which is crying for a rematch. The fans chant “You suck” and Vega tells Bianca no one wants to see her get embarrassed again. But Zelina thinks Bianca thinks should back off and instead of Becky looking for competition, maybe she should have the match against Becky.

Out comes Carmella. She tells Bianca and Zelina to move out of the way because Becky should be facing the most beautiful woman in all of WWE. Carmella says that they told her one hour before her match that she was Sasha’s replacement. She barely had time to do her hair and make-up. Out comes Liv Morgan to the ring.

Liv says she doesn’t understand why they think they deserve to be in the title picture when they both get beat every week. She tells Becky if she is looking for a contender, she is right there. Carmella tells Liv it must be nice to be in the spotlight after spending two months in catering.

Bianca tells them they lost their mind because this has nothing to do with them. This is about her and Becky. She tells Becky to give the people the match that they want. Becky says meh and not tonight as she walks away.

Carmella attacks Bianca as Liv attacks Carmella and throws her to the outside.


SmackDown Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match
Bianca Belair vs. Zelina Vega vs. Carmella vs. Liv Morgan

Back from commercial and the match is already under way. Carmella is on the top rope and a cross body onto Bianca but Bianca catches her and a vertical suplex. In comes Vega but Bianca knocks her down. Bianca lifts her up and a gorilla press. Bianca knocks Morgan off the ring apron. Carmella grabs Bianca by the hair as her and Zelina double team Bianca.

Zelina and Carmella go for the cover on Bianca but Bianca kicks out. Carmella throws Bianca to the outside. In comes Liv as she drop kicks Vega but Carmella slams her in the corner but Liv throws Carmella to the outside of the ring. Vega with a kick to the face. In comes Carmella as she rolls Zelina up but Vega kicks out.

Both Zelina and Carmella argue and in comes Bianca who knocks them both down. Bianca with the KOD on Vega. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Zelina Vega is eliminated

Liv and Carmella are in the ring and Liv slams Carmella down. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Carmella is eliminated

Back from commercial and Bianca with a spear in the corner. Bianca runs towards Liv but a knee to the face by Liv and she flips Bianca down. Liv with the double stomp behind the back of hte neck. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Bianca gets back up but Liv with a drop toe hold. Liv goes for another stomp but Bianca moves out of the way and a spinebuster by Bianca. She goes for the cover but Liv kicks out.

Both women back up and Bianca lifts Liv up and a vertical suplex but Liv lands on her feet and a double knees to the face. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. The fans chant “This is awesome” and Liv runs towards Bianca but Bianca throws her face first on the top turnbuckle. Bianca lifts Liv up and hits her with the KOD. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Bianca Belair via Pinfall.


Backstage: Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman is walking backstage and in comes Kayla Braxton. She asks him with the return of Brock Lesnar, where he stands. Heyman says Miss Braxton, I stand where I always stand and kind of to the side of the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Now if she’ll excuse him and even if she won’t, he has to help the Champion prepare for his family celebration. Heyman tries opening Roman’s door but it’s locked.

Backstage: Paul Heyman, The Usos

We cut backstage and Kayla is still with Heyman. He asks her if she has nothing better to do. No one to stalk, harass? Kayla looks at him, smiles and shakes her head. The Usos open the door as she walks away. They tell Heyman they didn’t know he was out this entire time. And that Roman is not there yet. They ask Heyman if he knew Brock was going to be at SummerSlam.

Heyman tells them no and to think about it. Why would he tear down everything they have worked so hard to build up? He says it doesn’t make any sense. He swears on everything that is holy that he did not know Brock was going to be there.

The Usos ask him why he sent them to the locker room before the match. Heyman says he’s not the one that sent them back, the Tribal Chief was the one who sent them back. The Usos says this family is built on trust.


Chad Gable vs. Cesaro

The bell rings and we are under way. Cesaro knocks Gable down and he goes for the swing but Gable rolls away. Gable with an arm drag as he attacks Cesaro’s left arm. He goes for the cover but Cesaro kicks out. Gable climbs the top rope and a moon sault. He goes for the cover but again Cesaro kicks out. Gable climbs the top rope but Cesaro knocks him down.

Cesaro swings Gable around but in comes Otis and he attacks Cesaro as the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Cesaro via Disqualification.

Otis lands the big splash off the top rope onto Cesaro as they double team him.


Outside: “Happy” Baron Corbin

Kayla is outside of the arena as she says Roman is expected to arrive soon. In comes Baron Corbin in a Bentley wearing a suit. He says she can call him Happy Corbin. He posted it on his social media but luck is on his side, he is filthy rich and happy.


In-Ring: Happy Corbin, Big E

Out comes Baron Corbin under a new theme song and he’s very happy. He says to look at his smile as the ring is covered in a red carpet. He says he was wearing the same dirty shirt for months, he thought his WWE career was over but he looks incredible.

A video package airs of him winning money in Las Vegas.

He says he was the mayor of jackpot city. He doesn’t know what he did to deserve this but he deserves it. He says he is wearing a 3000$ suit, a 50,000$ Patek and a 300,000$ Bentley. He says his wife welcomes him home and they had Wagyu beef. He calls Big E out to the ring.

He tells Big E he will probably cash it in and lose, that’s what happened to him. He offers him 100,000$ and Big E declines. Big E takes out a half eaten sandwich and a pencil that Corbin can spend his money on.

Corbin says he is too happy and to rich for this. He tells Big E to be miserable, to cash it in and lose as he leaves the ring.


Backstage: Edge, Seth Rollins

Edge is shown backstage. He says Summerslam was satisfying. He defeated a generational talent in Seth Rollins. But he had to go to a dark place to find the most savage version of himself. And now Seth Rollins is over and done with. He is moving on and moving on to what Seth cost him, the Universal Championship.

We cut to Seth backstage and he says he only has one thing to say to him. And that is congratulations. He says he has had a week to think of everything that happened at SummerSlam. It was one of Edge’s greatest victories and as for him, it was a loss and it taught him a lot. At SummerSlam, Edge won his respect, his admiration. He admires Edge and his Hall of Fame career. The life that he has built.

Seth says it got him to think. If he wants to fight his way back to the Universal championship, maybe he needs to be more like Edge.


Backstage: Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns is shown walking backstage. He gets to his door and Heyman is standing there. Roman asks hi what he is doing. Heyman can’t find his words as Roman asks if he has to open his own doors now. Heyman apologizes as he opens the door for Roman and Roman asks him if he wants to come in with him. Heyman tells him yes.


King Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs. Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode)

The bell rings and we are under way. Boogs lifts and swings Ziggler around. Ziggler grabs the ropes as he elbows Boogs and Roode is tagged in. They double team him and Roode with a neck breaker. He goes for the cover but Boogs kicks out.

Boogs is sent into the corner but he knocks Ziggler off the ring apron and takes Roode down. Nakamura is tagged in and he knocks Roode out. In comes Ziggler and he suplexes him. A sliding German suplex on Roode. Nakamura goes for the Kinshasa, Roode gets out of the way and Nakamura is on the ring apron. He is knocked down to the outside and Ziggler hits him with the Zig Zag.

Back from commercial, Boogs with a corkscrew elbow on Ziggler. He throws Ziggler down. A bulldog onto Ziggler. He goes for the cover but Ziggler kicks out. Boogs lifts Ziggler up but Roode breaks it up. Boogs slams Roode down and Ziggler hits him with a super kick. He goes for the cover but Nakamura breaks it up. In comes Roode but Nakamura throws him to the outside. Ziggler throws Nakamura to the outside. Boogs rolls Ziggler up but Ziggler kicks out.

Ziggler goes for the Famouse-er but Boogs moves out of the way and Boogs hits him with the pump handle slam. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: King Nakamura & Rick Boogs via Pinfall.


Backstage: Naomi, Sonya Deville

Naomi is backstage with Sonya. She asks her when her match is and Sonya tells her she didn’t know she was coming back to SmackDown. She welcomes her to SmackDown but she has no match for her. She tells Naomi she will think about it and will get back to her next week.


Backstage: Dominik, Rey Mysterio

We cut backstage and it’s Rey and Dominik. Rey tells him he thinks he needs to step down and allow Dominik to fly on his own. But he will always have his back. Rey tells him it’s time for Dominik to do well on his own. He says he spoke to Adam Pearce and got him a match tonight. He doesn’t know who his opponent with but he knows he can get the win.


Dominik Mysterio vs. Sami Zayn

The bell rings and we are under way. Sami gets Dominik in the corner and right hands by Sami as the referee breaks it up. Right hands by Sami as he sends Dominik to the ropes but Dominik acrobatically knocks Sami down. A back drop by Sami and Sami gets in the corner.

Both men back up and a right hand by Sami but a back elbow by Dominik. He gets on the ring apron and Dominik jumps off the top rope and lands an arm drag. Dominik gets Sami on the second rope. He goes for the 619 but Sami moves out of the way and Dominik falls to the outside. Out comes Rey Mysterio.

Back from commercial and Sami with a clothesline. Elbows to the face by Sami but elbows by Dominik. A kick to the side of the head by Dominik as he trips Sami on the second rope. He lands the 619 as he climbs the top rope but Sami rolls away. Dominik grabs Sami but Sami with the exploder suplex in the corner. Sami hits him with the Helluva Kick. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Sami Zayn via Pinfall.

Rey gets in the ring after the match but Dominik rolls out of the ring.


In-Ring: Roman Reigns, The Usos, Paul Heyman

We cut backstage and it’s Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and The Usos as Roman’s music hits. Heyman gives him the Universal Championship as Roman is confused. Heyman tells him it’s a family celebration, Roman tells him that he is family and that he loves him.

Roman, Heyman and the Usos are in the ring. Heyman says the Tribal Trief has granted them permission to acknowledge Roman Reigns as the fans boo. Roman tells him something. Heyman says it’s their special night because they will also have the opportunity to acknowledge the undisputed SmackDown tag team champions of the world, Jimmy and Jey, the cousins of the Tribal Chief, the Usos.

Reigns once more tells Heyman to say something. Heyman says this is the part of the show where we all have clearly Cena-Nough of John, all thanks to the beating at SummerSlam, delivered by and the fact that Cena was beaten by the undisputed Universal champion, Roman Reigns.

Out comes Finn Balor to the ring. He tells Roman that he knows he got screwed out of their match at SummerSlam by John Cena. But he didn’t forget about Cena. Now Edge is talking about the Universal championship and Brock Lesnar is back. He says he was going to come out and challenge him to a match at Extreme Rules but seeing as how he doesn’t trust anyone out here, he isn’t waiting in line.

Balor challenges him to a match for the Universal championship next week on SmackDown. Finn throws the microphone at Roman as The Usos attack him. Out come The Street Profits. Roman leaves the ring as the two tag teams fight it out in the ring. The Street Profits take out The Usos. Balor knocks Jimmy down as he climbs the top rope and hits him with the Coup de Grace.
