Major League Wrestling reportedly release three talents on Wednesday, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that Bu Ku Dao, Beastman, and Leo Brien were all recently released by MLW as part of a small round of cuts made to their roster. Prior to their releases, Dao had been with the company since October of 2020, Beastman had been with the company since their Fightland 2021 event earlier this month, and Brien had been with the company since this past February.
Johnson reported that his sources stated that the official reason for the releases was due to a recent edict from MLW owner Court Bauer to shorten the length of MLW events. This new edict reportedly caused MLW officials to reconsider the size of their roster and made the decision to release talent from their contractual obligations rather than just lock them up and not use them.
Johnson also reported that there may have been additional releases as well but as of his report, only those three talents have been confirmed.
