WWE: SmackDown Show in LA Announced, Crown Jewel 2021 News, Producers of Friday’s SD Show

WWE Confirms December Episode of SmackDown for Los Angeles

WWE recently confirmed the rumors and reports that they will be holding an episode of Friday Night SmackDown this December in Los Angeles, California.

The announcement was made by host venue Staples Center, which confirmed that this upcoming show will be taking place on December 10th. It was also announced that tickets for this show will go on sale starting this Friday.

Dave Meltzer reported last week that this show was originally scheduled take place in Cleveland, Ohio but was recently cancelled by WWE officials in favor of Los Angeles in order to appease FOX.


WWE Crown Jewel 2021 News & Notes

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that recent rumors of The Undertaker making an appearance at this Thursday’s Crown Jewel 2021 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia are not true. Meltzer reported that the source of the rumor was from a video that was circulating on social media over the course of the past week teasing his appearance but this video was later discovered to have been from 2019. Meltzer also reported that his sources within the company stated that there wasn’t anything to the rumors of Undertaker being scheduled for this week’s event.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within WWE stated that all talent who will be traveling to Saudi Arabia for this week’s Crown Jewel 2021 event were informed that they will need to pass a COVID-19 PCR test before being allowed to depart from the United States. Johnson also reported that those spoken to also stated that all talent likely will also be required to have been vaccinated as well. In regards to flight time, Johnson reported that the trip from Sacramento, California to Saudi Arabia will be over twenty hours while the return trip to Wichita, Kansas for Friday’s SmackDown show will be around eighteen hours.
