Rick Steiner was scheduled to appear at NXT Halloween Havoc two weeks ago but “pulled out at the last minute,” Tommaso Ciampa said in an interview with talkSPORT:
“So, he was meant to be at Halloween Havoc,” Ciampa started. “He pulled out last minute. Maybe because I retained, but I won’t say that’s why [laughs]. I would love to be friends with him.
“I said to Bron ‘I don’t want to meet your dad, I want him to be my buddy.’ I want us to exchange numbers and whatever Rick Steiner does. He’s probably not a big phone guy, I don’t know [laughs]. But I just wanna be friends with him.”
Ciampa defeated Steiner’s son Bron Breakker in an NXT Championship match at Halloween Havoc on October 26.
Bobby Steveson
Bobby Steveson, the older brother of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, has received a new in-ring name in NXT.
He’ll be know as “Damon Kemp.”

Bobby signed with WWE earlier this year and was announced as a Performance Center recruit in September.
Gable Steveson was drafted to WWE Raw last month.
