WWE reportedly is currently interested in the idea of signing MJF once his current contract with AEW expires, according to F4WOnline.com.
The Mat Men Pro Wrestling’s Andrew Zarian reported that one source spoken to within WWE stated that WWE officials have held recently talks regarding the idea of signing MJF once he is available on the market. This same source also stated that WWE has held talks with FOX and USA Network officials in the past over this idea to gauge their interest as well. This source stated “He has everything we would want. It really depends on if he could be that same person on WWE TV. We want new stars to be the focus within the next few years. That’s the plan.”
Zarian also reported that similar talks have been held within FOX and USA Network in recent weeks. Officials from both networks reportedly have recently taken notice at MJF due to his current feud with CM Punk and the potential star power he could bring to WWE if he were to ever sign with the company. One network source spoken to stated ” I actually stopped what I was doing and listened to him. I don’t think I have done that with pro wrestling in a long time.”
