EVOLVE founder Gable Sapolsky has been released by WWE. He had been working as a creative consultant for NXT and officially signed with WWE in 2018.

His release was confirmed by Fightful and PWInsider.
Sapolsky worked under Paul Heyman in the original ECW, then became the first head booker for ROH in 2002. He founded EVOLVE in 2010, which formed a working relationship with WWE in 2015 before WWE ultimately bought the promotion in July 2020.
Early last year, WWE reportedly shot a pilot for an “NXT EVOLVE” show, which would have been run by Sapolsky as a sort of “minor league” for NXT, using WWE developmental wrestlers. That idea obviously never came to fruition.
