AEW reportedly is currently working on plans to sign Buddy Matthews, formerly Buddy Murphy in WWE, to a potential contract with the company, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that several sources spoken to stated that there has been a growing level of interest within the company in recent weeks over the idea of signing Matthews to an official contract. Some of these same sources also stated that they have heard of creative plans being pitched for Matthews with at least one source saying that there already are creative plans in place for him.
Several talent spoken to stated that they have also been told of working plans to bring Matthews into the company, which date back to this past January.
