WWE reportedly has dropped their 205 Live brand, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials made the official decision to drop their 205 Live brand earlier this week but this had been something that was in the works for some time.
Johnson reported that a new NXT-based series called NXT: Level Up will be replacing 205 Live going forward. Tapings for this new series reportedly will start tonight with the first episode to be taped prior to the start of NXT’s Vengeance Day 2022 special at WWE’s Performance Center. In regards to runtime length, Johnson reported that each episode of this new series will be 60 minutes long.
Prior to its demise, WWE’s 205 Live series had been airing on the WWE Network since its debut in November of 2016 and until recent times, revolved around the company’s Cruiserweight division.
