An upcoming episode of the Stephen A’s World show had Paul “Triple H” Levesque as the guest. Some of the topics discussed included Levesque announcing his retirement from active wrestling and his cardiac event incident from this past September.
On the topic of his retirement from active wrestling, Levesque stated:
“As far as in-ring, I’m done. I would never wrestle again. I have a defibrillator in my chest so it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to get zapped on live TV.”
On the topic of his cardiac event incident from this past September, Levesque stated:
“I was in heart failure…bad.
I was nosediving and at the one-yard-line of where you don’t want to be for your family and your future.
There are moments when they are putting you out for stuff and you think ‘Is this it?’ Do you wake up…that’s tough to swallow. It makes you think differently about life. It doesn’t make you any less driven for the things you want to do, but it certainly makes you appreciate the things you have — your friends and your family.”
