As noted before, Game Changer Wrestling is currently expected to make an official announcement on November 1st regarding the future of their events on streaming services. GCW is also currently rumored to be in talks with WWE regarding a potential partnership deal.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that GCW is not the only notable indie promotion who will be making an announcement soon regarding the future streaming status of their events. Those spoken to stated that multiple notable indie promotions recently signed streaming deals with FITE TV to air their events on the FITE+ service. It was reported that while it is currently not known if FITE will be expanding their pricing or packages deals for FITE+ subscriptions as part of this upcoming expansion, several indies who recently signed deals will be joining as a live streaming option under one price point of a subscription on the service.
In regards to GCW, it was reported that it is currently not known if their upcoming announcement will be for FITE. Those spoken to within GCW reportedly gave a comical non-answer response of “WWE is going to Fite+?”
In regards to the rumors of GCW and WWE being in recent talks for a potential partnership, it was reported those spoken to within GCW did not respond while one WWE source spoken to did not deny the rumor but also stated that they are in favor of people telling others to watch WWE RAW. It was also reported that based on those spoken to, all signs point to this rumor being a very effective online rib by Joey Janela, who was the origin of it.
