Former TNA Wrestling commentator Don West passed away on Friday at the age of 59.
West’s passing was first announced on Twitter by West’s longtime colleague and former WCW and TNA commentator Mike Tenay.
Just heard from wife Terri that our brother @DonWestDeals will be spending New Years in heaven. Terri said D-Dub finally had to tap out from his match with lymphoma. We bonded as soon as we met, both as broadcast partners and friends. Years of great moments both on and off camera

Prior to his passing West had been battling brain cancer since June of 2021 and while it had went into remission following chemotherapy treatments, it returned for a second bout in December of 2021.
West’s career in wrestling spanned from 2002 to 2012 and 2017 to 2022, all spent in TNA/Impact Wrestling. West was most known for his first stint in the company as a member of their commentary team alongside Tenay. Following his departure in 2012, West worked as a member of the sale and marketing department for Junior level hockey team Wenatchee Wild. West would eventually return to Impact in 2017 and worked as a member of their merchandise department.
Besides wrestling, West also worked in the radio industry hosting a show called The Sports Reporters and also worked as a salesman for the Shop At Home television network.
