The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, reportedly have recently been in talks with AEW regarding potential new contracts with the company, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that AEW and Young Bucks have held some talks regarding potential new contracts but no other details regarding these talks nor the progress of it was known as of the time of their report.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer provided more details in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer reported that his sources confirmed Fightful’s report about AEW being in talks but stated that this was in the form of AEW informing the Young Bucks of their interest for a new contract and not official talks. Meltzer reported that the recent rumors of the Young Bucks being close to signing a deal are not true.
Meltzer reported that the Young Bucks’ contract talks situation is similar to how AEW handled their talks with Chris Jericho where he still had plenty of time left in his current deal but they opted to sign him to a new deal early.
