The Lucha Brothers’ Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M reportedly are currently dealing with visa-related issues, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that one source close to the situation stated that work visa issues was the reason why neither Fenix nor Penta made a televised appearance at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in El Paso, Texas. Penta reportedly was introduced prior to the start of the show to the crowd, who gave him a big reaction, but did not work at the show nor following Rampage tapings.
This same source reportedly also stated that Bandido is also currently dealing with similar issues as well for AEW.
Meltzer reported that the Lucha Brothers are currently advertised to make an appearance at next week’s Dynamite show in Laredo but their status for the show is currently not known.
This same source reportedly also stated that visa issues have been a problem of late for a lot of non-United States citizens, including those from Mexico. Meltzer reported that those spoken to within Major League Wrestling confirmed that they also have been dealing with similar recent issues with wrestlers booked from Mexico for their shows.
