CM Punk Reportedly Was Backstage at WWE RAW Prior to Show & Removed by Security

Current AEW and former WWE talent CM Punk reportedly was seen backstage prior to tonight’s WWE’s RAW show at the Allstate Center in Chicago, Illinois, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Punk had visited the venue earlier today and was seen briefly chatting with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque and several other WWE talents. Johnson reported that this was the first time that Punk and Levesque have talked to each other in person since 2014.

Johnson reported that WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon had ordered security to escort Punk out of the building after he had learned of Punk’s visit. One source spoken to stated that they believed the reason for McMahon’s decision was due to Punk being under contract with another company. This same source reportedly stated that after being informed by security, Punk immediately said his goodbyes and left the building.

WrestleOps reported that one of the WWE talents that Punk had met with was Tamina.
