Thursday’s Impact Wrestling’s Impact! show in Windsor, Canada featured an in-ring segment involving Mickie James’ final decision for her status for Impact’s Rebellion 2023 event this Sunday in Toronto.
During her promo, James stated that she has not been medically cleared to compete in the event due to the status of her rib injury.
James stated that as a result of the terms set by her and Impact she officially relinquished her Impact Knockouts World Championship and will not compete at this Sunday’s event. James also stated that this was the end of her Last Rodeo in Impact and placed both the title belt and her hat in the ring before walking off.

As a result of James’ announcement, the currently scheduled Impact Knockouts World Championship match at Rebellion 2023 will remain as a single match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo with the winner to be crowned the new champion.
