WWE recently held their 2023 WWE Draft at this past Friday’s SmackDown and Monday’s RAW shows. This year’s Draft featured the tag team of Braun Strowman and Ricochet officially moving from SmackDown to RAW as a result of them being drafted to the RAW brand.
In a recent update to WWE’s official website, it was announced that SmackDown ring announcer Samantha Irvin and RAW ring announcer Mike Rome will also be swapping brands as part of this year’s WWE Draft.
Samantha Irvin will be the ring announcer for Raw, Mike Rome will be the ring announcer for SmackDown
While the official reason for the swap was not stated, Irvin is currently engaged to Ricochet and WWE’s current rules for their main roster brands are for real-life couples to remain together on the same brand.
