AEW International Championship
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. AR Fox

Video Package: The history between Darby Allin and AR Fox

Back at ringside, we gear up for our first match of the evening as the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy heads to the ring to defend his title against AR Fox! The Challenger is out next, ready and eager to make a statement as as he rushes to the ring. Moments later, this title match is underway!

Fox extends a hand for a show of sportsmanship to start, something Cassidy responds to as he knows how before they lock up…and Cassidy gets a foot on the bottom rope to break the hold. They exchange holds again before Cassidy looks to get his hands in his pockets, only for Fox to turn things around on the champion…who tries to leap out of an arm wringer to no avail. Cassidy turns it around on Fox now, who shows the champ how to counter out of it properly before taking him to the canvas and locking the legs in!

Orange struggles to get out of the hold, getting his hands in pockets before wiggling out and getting to his feet…but Fox is up as well, staying toe to toe with the champ before getting a nearfall. Orange looking for an Orange Punch gets walloped to the corner instead, as Fox looks for a rolling cutter…but the champ rolls out of the ring for a breather!

Cassidy walks around the outside of the ring, egging Fox on…and that proves to be a mistake, as Fox catches him with an Asai moonsault off the ring post! Cassidy heads back in the ring as Fox goes back on the attack, taking the champ down before going for a suplex…countered into a Stundog Millionaire by the champ! There’s a fight in the corner now, but Fox gets a springboard Stunner on the champ…and reverses Cassidy’s further attack into a twisting neckbreaker for a nearfall as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Cassidy rolls back to the outside, where he is met by the challenger unleashing a flurry of offense! Chaos starts to break down on the outside until the champ heads back into the ring, waiting for Fox to come back as he goes for an Orange Punch…which gets countered by the challenger, who takes back control of the match as he takes Cassidy to the ropes for more damage. Fox keeps on top of things as he focuses on the different injuries the champ has suffered the past couple months, before hitting a dropkick in the corner for a nearfall! Fox with a neckbreaker takes the champ right back down, and a second connects as we come back from break!

Orange is able to turn something around with a dropkick on the challenger, before the two men exchange kicks…which ends with a a double down off a neckbreaker on each other! Both men struggling as they get to their feet, with the champ trying to fight back even as Fox sends him into the corner…which leads to Cassidy sending Fox head-first into the corner, over and over until Fox finally fights out of it!

Cassidy drops to the floor, where he is met with a big dive by Fox who rolls the champ back into the ring and ends up with a nearfall. Fox ends up on the outside, where he’s met with a dive from the champ followed by the Beach Break upon bringing Fox back into the ring…but Fox kicks out! Cassidy gets blocked on an Orange Punch attempt as Fox sends him into the corner, but Cassidy fights out…only to take a Lo Mein Pain to the canvas, giving Fox a nearfall in the process!

Fox climbs the turnbuckle but Orange rolls away…only to get caught with a rolling senton by Fox onto the apron across the throat of the champ! DDT by Fox gets him another close nearfall, as he climbs up the turnbuckle once more…only for Orange to avoid the 450 splash, catching him with a crucifix pin for a nearfall! Cassidy manages to tie him up again for a pinning combination, keeping Fox down long enough to get the pin and the win to retain!

Winner via pinfall and still AEW International Champion: Orange Cassidy

After the match, Cassidy gives a show of sportsmanship toward Fox by putting his sunglasses on the challenger…but Fox is having none of it, breaking them before laying out the champ! It seems Fox is taken aback by his own actions however, stepping out of the ring looking surprised by it as Darby runs down the ramp to admonish his behavior. Fox is unsure what to say about the situation, before Darby tells Fox to head to the back.

As Fox and Darby head to the back, we see Mox rushing out through the crowd, taking Cassidy out with a Death Rider for what happened last Friday on Rampage before escaping back through the crowd!

Callis tells Jericho about teaming up with Takeshita, which Jericho seems eager to do…until he finds out the opponents are Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara. Jericho is very reluctant about it, but agrees to the match before Callis presents the Ocho with a painting in honor of their history together.

Jericho looks almost…speechless?…about the painting, before walking off as we get a rundown of what’s to come later tonight!

Perry addresses what we saw from HOOK moments ago, saying the former champ couldn’t “hang with the big boys” after one loss and took a train to nowhere…before running down the FTW Championship’s history, saying it only became “the real deal” after he won it.

Perry starts running down Tazz at the commentary booth before Jerry Lynn comes down to interject, telling Perry about how ECW had paved the way for the younger generation. He tells Perry that without ECW there wouldn’t be a Jungle Boy, and to see what happens when he keeps running his mouth before squaring up to the new champion, who agrees to a match…next week on Dynamite.

PAC vs. Gravity

Back at ringside, PAC makes his way to the ring for our next match followed by his opponent, a man that some would say “forgot” about PAC once upon a time…Gravity. With that, the match is underway!

It’s high flying at the outside, with Gravity getting one over on PAC with a flurry of offense on the Bastard before PAC leaves the ring to recover from a particularly nasty dropkick. PAC finally comes back into the ring, but now it’s Gravity fleeing from the Bastard who gives chase…before hitting a BIG dropkick on the luchador before leaving the ring to go after Gravity, who manages to turn it around on PAC with a big moonsault before going back in the ring as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: PAC is struggling to get to his feet as Gravity eggs him on, and the Bastard finally makes his way back into the ring where he hits a big kick to the gut to turn things around. Gravity gets sent to the corner as PAC drives his boot into the throat, which turns into PAC being firmly in control of the match with some more stomps on the luchador before locking in a side headlock on the canvas, keeping Gravity grounded until the luchador can rise to his feet as we come back!

PAC is still on the attack as we see BCC watching from backstage, while PAC taunts Gravity with a shout of “forget me NOT” as he stays on top of things…until Gravity gets a boot to the face to turn things around. Gravity hits the ropes, dropping PAC with a cross body for a nearfall before PAC goes back to work with some hard, stiff kicks on the luchador. This is followed a big brainbuster and a Brutalizer that forces Gravity to tap out!

Winner via submission: PAC

Results of this segment via Ryan Howard of f4wonline.com

We see post match comments from Renee Paquette with the Blind Eliminator Tournament winners MJF & Adam Cole. When Cole was about to start the promo, MJF cut him off and trash talked both members of FTR, mocking Dax Harwood constantly cutting the same promos and MJF will punch him so hard in the face he’ll spit out CM Punk’s jockstrap. The only initials that matter aren’t FTR, it’s MJF.

Cole said never in a million years did he expect to be friends with MJF and said he has nothing to worry about with touching the AEW World Title post match. Cole said MJF is becoming one of his best friends and MJF said win, lose or draw, he wants Cole to know he’s getting a rematch for the World Title.

Roderick Strong stormed in and shoved MJF, saying Cole shouldn’t trust him. Cole told MJF to leave as he said he loves Strong, but he’s pushing Cole away because he’s showing he doesn’t trust him.

Darby goes up top again, but is pulled down by Strickland who sets Darby up before dropping him with a Death Valley Driver onto the apron!

Darby ends up back in the ring but gets dropped with a JML Driver by Swerve, who gets the pin and the win!

Winner via pinfall: Swerve Strickland

Taya stays on the attack before pulling Baker in for a lariat, but again only gets a nearfall once again. Taya lays in some hard forearms, but Baker starts fighting back before getting taken down with a Valhalla. Taya switches into a more technical side of things, working the limbs of Baker before locking in an STF as Baker struggles to fight out of it…something Taya doesn’t allow much of before bringing her back to her feet. Baker sent to the corner as we come back!

Taya goes for a knee to the face but Baker evades it, and now the Doctor is back in it as she hits a ripcord elbow for a nearfall. Taya back up to her feet now as the two trade blows, until Taya hits a big roundhouse kick on Baker…who responds with a thrust kick! Taya with a knee strike and a lariat only gets her another nearfall, before Baker gets to her feet…where Taya stops a Panama Sunrise attempt for a Northern Lights suplex that gets her another nearfall!

Baker fights back before hitting the top rope for a Panama Sunrise that connects this time, but only gets a nearfall…before Baker slips on the glove looking for the Lockjaw! But Taya is back on her feet, fighting back before hitting a big spear! Taya goes for a Valhalla again, but Baker counters before cinching in a Lockjaw to force Taya to tap!

Winner via submission: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Baker quickly leaves the ring, leaving us with a frustrated Taya in the ring as we get a rundown of what’s to come on Rampage, Collision, and next week on Dynamite!

Three-Way Tag Team Match
Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends

All the fellows go after each other in the ring until BCC are cleared out, with the Best Friends hitting stereo piledrivers on the Lucha Bros as Trent gets a nearfall on Penta. Best Friends get taken down by the luchadors however, with Penta looking to break the arm of Trent as Fenix keeps Chuck trapped! Pin made but BCC break it up, and now it’s Claudio and Mox in control of the situation as Claudio hits a powerbomb on Chuck Taylor.
