As noted before, RUSH’s contract with AEW was set to expire soon. Both AEW and WWE were interested in potentially signing RUSH to a new deal with AEW’s offer being for more money than WWE’s offer for a typical NXT developmental deal.
RUSH announced on Twitter on Monday that he recently signed a new contract with AEW to remain in the company for the foreseeable future. In the video post, RUSH was seen signing his new contract to make it official.
I started a new chapter in my personal and professional career, people doubted I could make it, today I want to say that im 100% AEW.

RUSH has been working in AEW since making his official debut for the company at their Double or Nothing 2022 event in May of 2022.
Prior to his signing, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources within WWE confirmed that the company was interested in him but were likely not going to be able to sign him due to AEW’s monetary offer being much better than their offer. Those close to RUSH reportedly also confirmed that RUSH did have some interest in potentially working for WWE.
