Young Bucks Win Four-Way Match for Future AEW Tag Titles Shot at WrestleDream

Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream event in Seattle, Washington featured The Young Bucks defeating the Lucha Brothers, The Gunns, and Orange Cassidy & HOOK in a Four-way match for a future shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The finish to this match involved HOOK attempting to lock a Redrum to Austin Gunn who fought off the attempt which led to Cassidy hitting Austin with an Orange Punk and HOOK being able to lock in the Redrum successful. This led to Austin struggling to get to the ropes and got close enough for Nick Jackson to get a tag on Austin making him the legal member. Jackson then hit a top rope 450 Splash onto both guys for a nearfall on HOOK that was broken up by Cassidy. This led to Penta El Zero Miedo tagging Jackson and setting up a Fear Factor on Gunn and a Widows Peak on HOOK that was assisted by Jackson with a double foot stomp off the top rope. The Young Bucks then hit a Superkick Party to Penta leading to Penta trying to fight back only for the Bucks to respond with a BTE Trigger for the pinfall victory.

Rey Fenix Suffered Potential Shoulder Injury at AEW WrestleDream

Sunday’s WrestleDream event in Seattle also featured Rey Fenix suffering a potential shoulder injury during the Four-way Tag Team match.

This injury took place very early into the match following a flurry of offense between Fenix and Nick Jackson. Fenix then clutched his shoulder leading to Orange Cassidy tagging him. Cassidy attempted an Orange Punk only for Fenix to duck the strike but when Fenix attempted to lift Cassidy, his shoulder gave out and caused Penta El Zero Miedo to tag out Fenix. The Gunns then launched an attack on Fenix on the outside as part of a larger attack on the Lucha Brothers and Cassidy.

While on the outside, Fenix was given medial attention by the ringside doctor and did not return for the remainder of the match.
