As noted before, Will Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently set to expire in February of 2024.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Ospreay recently hired high profile agent Barry Bloom to represent him ahead of his upcoming free agency in February of 2024.
Bloom is currently the agent of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, and other notable wrestling talents. Bloom previously had represented several notable WWE Hall of Famers and wrestling legends such as Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Jesse Ventura.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed Johnson’s report and stated that Ospreay had hired Bloom this past Spring. Both AEW and WWE reportedly were aware of Bloom representing Ospreay as of this past August. It was also reported that Ospreay’s next contract will likely be heavily financially motivated and Ospreay himself knows that this will be the most important deal of his career.
