AEW is currently estimated to have generated around 122,000 to 140,000 pay-per-view buys for this past Saturday’s Full Gear 2023 event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that this would be higher than last month’s WrestleDream event which is currently estimated to have generated around 110,000 PPV buys.
In regards to breakdowns, Meltzer reported that Full Gear 2023’s streaming buys are around 15 to 20% higher than WrestleDream based on early estimates and data. Meltzer also reported that Full Gear 2023’s PPV buys from cable PPV providers are currently around 33.3% higher than WrestleDream but down 17.1% compared to this past June’s Forbidden Door II event.
Meltzer reported that depending on the type of bump from late buys, Full Gear 2023 is likely to land somewhere around 132,000 buys based on current data and estimates.
