As noted before, former WWE talent Ronda Rousey made her surprise debut for Ring of Honor at Friday’s ROH TV tapings in Los Angeles, California. Rousey competed in a tag team match with Marina Shafir against Athena and Billie Starkz at the tapings.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Rousey’s appearance was more of a one-night only type deal and she is currently not signed to either AEW or ROH as of Friday.
In regards to the reason for her surprise appearance, it was reported that ROH officials are currently hopeful that her appearance can help generate some new subscriptions for their HonorClub service.
In regards to if Rousey had been planned at one point to be AEW’s newest signing reveal at tonight’s Full Gear 2023 event, it was reported that AEW officials never had considered plans for Rousey to be this mystery person reveal.
