  5. 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament First Round match – Tavion Heights defeated Luca Crusifino via Spinning Belly-to-Belly Suplex (pinfall)

    • This match was stopped following Dragunov suffering an injury that required medical attention. This injury took place following Holland giving a modified brainbuster to Dragunov and Dragunov not being able to move afterwards.

Lexis King & Tavion Heights Advances in Men’s Breakout 2023 Tournament

Tuesday’s taped NXT show featured two First Round matches for WWE’s NXT Men’s Breakout 2023 tournament.

The first tournament match was Lexis King defeating Dion Lennox.

The finish to this match involved Lennox hitting a Stinger Splash to King in the corner and followed it with a Northern Lights suplex for the nearfall. King left the ring and grabbed the NXT title match contract and attempted to walk to the back only to be stopped by Lennox who grabbed King and tossed him back into the ring. This led to King getting an opening and sent Lennox shoulder first into the ring post and hit the Coronation for the pinfall victory to advance to the next round of this year’s NXT Men’s Breakout tournament.

The second tournament match was Tavion Heights defeating Luca Crusifino.

The finish to this match involved Crusifino hitting a hip toss neckbreaker to Heights for a nearfall. Crusifino then hit a series of punches sending Heights to the corner and attempted another hip toss only for Heights to block it and hit a belly-to-belly suplex. Heights then hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Crusifino and followed it with a German suplex and T-Bone suplex. Heights then hit a spinning belly-to-belly suplex to Cruisfino for the pinfall victory to advance to the next round of this year’s NXT Men’s Breakout tournament.


NXT Underground Match Announced for Next Week’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s taped NXT show also featured the official announcement of a NXT Underground match for the card for next week’s NXT show on December 26th.

This match was setup following a video promo involving Eddy Thorpe. During his promo, Thorpe talked about the issues he and Dijak has had with each other of late. Thorpe also stated that while Dijak put him out of action for some time, he returned the favor by costing Dijak the chance to win the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match. Thorpe then issued an official challenge to Dijak for a NXT Underground match at next week’s NXT show.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Dijak responded to Thorpe’s challenge to him earlier and mocked Thorpe for the brutal beating he gave to him last week. With a smirk on his face, Dijak accepted the match challenge for next week’s show.

LWO’s Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro Make Surprise Appearance at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s taped NXT show also featured the LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro making their surprise appearance.

Following Dragon Lee’s victory over Charlie Dempsey and Joe Coffey to retain his NXT North American Championship, No Quarter Catch Crew attacked Lee. This led to the LWO’s music playing and Wilde and Del Toro running out to save Lee and sent No Quarter Catch Crew out of the ring.


Fallon Henley vs. Tiffany Stratton Potential Match Announced for NXT New Year’s Evil 2024

Tuesday’s taped NXT show also featured one new potential match for the card of NXT New Year’s Evil special, which takes place on January 2, 2024.

This new potential match was a singles match of Fallon Henley vs. Tiffany Stratton.

This match was initially setup following Stratton’s victory over Henley during tonight’s show. After their match, Stratton attacked Henley and dragged her to the back to continue her attack. Stratton then wipes Henley’s face with a dirty mop and tossed trash onto her before being pulled away by NXT referees.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen were talking about Briggs’ upcoming NXT Heritage Cup match and Henley still being very upset over what Stratton did to her earlier. Henley stated that she was not done with Stratton and would get her revenge and was was not willing to hear otherwise from Briggs.

In another follow-up backstage segment, Stratton responded to Henley’s comments earlier and the issues between the two of late in NXT. Stratton claimed that Henley will never be on her level both in terms of looks and skills no matter how hard she tries and Henley is nothing more than just trash. Stratton then issued a challenge to Henley for a rematch at NXT New Year’s Evil 2024 show. Stratton stated that if she beats Henley, then Henley must become her servant.
