AEW is currently no longer expected to be going head-to-head against WWE’s WrestleMania 40 Night 1 event on Saturday, April 6th.
In a recent schedule listing update on TNT’s website, it was revealed that AEW’s Collision show that night will be preempted from its usual 8PM EST start time to now a 11:30PM EST start time.
The reason is due to TNT’s commitments with the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on their network that night. TNT will be airing both games of this year’s Final Four on their network starting at 8:30PM EST and is scheduled to end at 11PM EST with a 30 minute post-game show to follow afterwards.
That week’s Collision show will not be held as a live show and instead will be taped on April 3rd as part of a double set of television tapings with AEW Dynamite in Worcester, Massachusetts.
