Tony Khan Met with Stardom President in Boston, Stardom Planned to be Part of Forbidden Door 2024 Event

Prior to the start of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Big Business show at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, AEW CEO To y Khan revealed on Twitter that had a backstage meeting with Stardom President Taro Okada. Besides Okada, Stardom talent Mina Shirakawa was also backstage at the show for that night’s Ring of Honor ROH TV tapings.

In regards to the reason for the meeting, Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Stardom will be sending talent for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Forbidden Door 2024 event this June. Besides Stardom, Meltzer reported that Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre talent will also be competing at this event.

“There will be Stardom and CMLL wrestlers on the Forbidden Door show when they do that show in June.

So (Taro Okada) came in and that kind of explains, again, when Tony Khan tweeted those tweets about Rossy Ogawa. It was definite loyalty to Stardom and Rossy Ogawa was quitting Stardom, so that’s what is going on there.”

Meltzer also reported that the current belief is that Stardom talent will also be working at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event next month in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Meltzer speculated that AZM and Mina Shirakawa could likely work at the event due to both will be in the city during WrestleMania 40 week.
