  1. WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack Challenge Ladder Qualifier Tournament Bracket #1 match – Legado Del Fantasma (Angel & Berto) defeating LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) via Double Team Pop-up Toss Kick (pinfall)
    • Angel pinned Wilde after him and Berto hit their double team finisher for the victory.
  2. Randy Orton defeated Grayson Waller via RKO (pinfall)
    • After the match, Austin Theory attacked Orton from behind and held up Orton leading to Logan Paul entering the ring and preparing to punch Orton. Kevin Owens ran out to save Orton and cleared the ring of Theory and Paul.
  3. Santos Escobar defeated Dragon Lee via Phantom Driver (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Legado’s Humberto tried to attack Lee only to get kicked in the face instead. This led to Lee being distracted and opened himself to getting quickly hit with a Phantom Driver by Escobar for Escobar’s victory.
    • Following the match, Legado Del Fantasma attacked Lee leading to the LWO coming out to save Lee. Rey Mysterio then came out and attacked Escobar and challenged Escobar to a match for next week’s show.
  4. WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack Challenge Ladder Qualifier Tournament Bracket #1 match – New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) defeated Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) via Double Team Burning Hammer (pinfall)
    • Dunne pinned Prince after him and Bate hit a double team Burning Hammer for the victory.
  5. Bayley defeated Dakota Kai via Disqualification
    • Near the end of the match, Damage CTRL entered the ring and tried to attack Bayley only for Bayley to fend off the Kabuki Warriors and got into a confrontation with IYO SKY. SKY then hit Bayley causing the referee to ring for the bell. Following the match, Damage CTRL continued their attack on Bayley leading to Naomi coming out trying to save Bayley to no avail.

The Rock’s “Hollywood Rock” Theme & Rock Concert Makes Surprise Return at Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s SmackDown show featured the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s classic “Hollywood Rock” entrance theme.

At the start of the show, The Rock came out to his newly inspired Black Adam style entrance video but with a new twist for his entrance this week. The Rock’s regular entrance theme transitioned into his classic Hollywood Rock theme song.

After he made his way into the ring, The Rock gave a promo stating that Memphis would not be getting the city trashing treatment from him this week since Memphis is special to him. The Rock then proceeded to bring up his early days in Memphis as and proceeded to perform a Rock Concert mocking Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins ahead of their tag team match against The Bloodline at WrestleMania 40 and the Cody Crybabies.

After finishing his song, The Rock directed his attention towards Rhodes and stated that Rhodes did something to him last week and the world heard it and The Rock felt it, which was shown to be a recap of Rhodes’ slap to The Rock’s face. After some more words mocking Rhodes for crying during his promo on this past Monday’s RAW show, The Rock turned his attention towards Rhodes’ mother. The Rock stated that since her son Cody took something from him, he will make Cody, his family, and her pay in return. The Rock stated that on WrestleMania 40 Night 1, they are going to beat Cody and Seth and that brings them to night two and it being Bloodline rules and anything goes. After some more words about how Cody’s mom wants him to finish the story, The Rock stated that won’t happen and that belt will stay with his cousin Roman Reigns. The Rock then stated that Cody’s mom is going to get a belt but it will be The Rock’s belt. The Rock then pulled out a Rock branded belt from a bag and claimed that he will beat Rhodes with it and whoop him like a dog until he bleeds. The Rock stated that after that, he is going to give Rhodes’ blood soaked belt to Cody’s mom and his gift to her and whisper in her ear and tell her “Michelle, what can I say except you’re welcome.” The Rock finished off his promo by saying “If you smell what the final boss is cooking.”

Legado & New Catch Republic Advances to SmackDown Bracket #1 Finals for Tag Titles Six-Pack Challenge Ladder Match at WrestleMania 40

Friday’s SmackDown show featured Legado Del Fantasma and New Catch Republic advancing to the Finals of the first SmackDown bracket for the Six-Pack Challenge Ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40.

The first tournament match was Legado Del Fantasma (Angel & Humberto) defeating LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro).

The second tournament match was New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) defeating Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson).

Three New Matches Announced for WrestleMania 40

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured three new matches officially announced for the card of WrestleMania 40, which takes place on April 6-7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The first new match announced was a singles match of LA Knight vs. AJ Styles.

This match was initially setup in recent weeks over Styles’ attack to Knight at this past February’s Elimination Chamber 2024 event in Australia and the two having bad blood issues with each other since then. During tonight’s show, LA Knight came out for an interview on the stage and talked about his issues with Styles of late. Knight called out Styles to come out and confront him and when he did not, Knight mocked Styles for the no show. Knight then stated that if Styles does not want to show up at SmackDown then he will go to the one place he knows Styles will be at and revealed this to be WrestleMania 40. Knight then issued an official challenge to Styles for a match at the show. This led to Styles coming out and attacking Knight from behind with a chair. Styles grabbed the microphone and stated that he accepts the challenge.

The second new match announced was a singles match of Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso.

This match was initially setup following this past Monday’s RAW show after Jey called out Jimmy over Jimmy and The Bloodline getting involved in his business and issued a challenge to Jimmy for a match at WrestleMania 40. During tonight’s show, SmackDown backstage interviewer Kayla Braxton asked The Bloodline for their thoughts about Jey’s challenge which led to Jimmy responding and accepting it.

The third new match announced was an United States Championship Triple Threat match of Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton vs. Logan Paul (c).

This match was initially setup following a backstage segment involving Paul and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis over Aldis asking if Paul had apologized to Orton over his recent actions and Paul demanding to know who would be his challenger for his U.S. title at WrestleMania 40. In a follow-up segment, Austin Theory attacked Orton after Orton’s victory over Grayson Waller leading to Paul entering the ring and attempting to hit Orton. This led to Owens running out to save Orton and clearing the ring of Paul and Theory. Aldis then came out and stated that he found someone to face Paul at WrestleMania 40 but instead of an opponent, it will be opponents and revealed them to be Owens and Orton for a Triple Threat match.
