As noted before, this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida featured The Elite and Jack Perry attacking AEW CEO Tony Khan to close out the show. Khan was seen wearing a neck brace selling the effects of the attack during the tapings for the Parking Lot Brawl match following the show for this Saturday’s Rampage show.
Thursday’s 2024 NFL Draft Day One event in Detroit, Michigan featured Khan being shown in the Jacksonville Jaguars draft room wearing a neck brace for the first time onscreen selling the effect of The Elite’s attack. This was not shown on ABC and ESPN’s feed of the show and instead on the NFL Network’s feed, who got in on the act and mentioned the storyline reason for Khan’s neck brace.

Besides the NFL Network, Thursday’s special live episode of The Pat McAfee Show in Detroit also featured host and WWE RAW commentator Pat McAfee mentioning Khan’s neck brace and his storyline injury at Wednesday’s show, albeit without actually saying the show was from AEW.
