  1. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson) defeated Kyle Fletcher & Jeff Cobb via Death Rider (pinfall)
    • Moxley pinned Fletcher after Danielson gave a swift kick dazing Fletcher and Moxley’s followed it with an elevated Death Rider to give BCC the victory.
    • Following the match, Konosuke Takeshita ran out and attacked Moxley leading to Fletcher and Cobb joining in on the attack to Moxley and Danielson. This led to Claudio Castagnoli running out with a pipe in his hand clearing the ring of Takeshita, Fletcher, and Cobb.
  2. AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator match – The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicolas Jackson) defeated Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels via TK Driver (pinfall)
    • Matthew Jackson pinned Danielson after the Young Bucks hit their double team TK Driver finisher for the victory.
    • Following the match, the Young Bucks gave a speech talking about Daniels actions towards them last week and fired him for what he did. Jack Perry gave a toast to Daniels at ringside and took a sip before pouring the rest of his drink all over Tony Schiavone’s head.
  3. HOOK defeated Sebastian Wolfe via Redrum (submission)
    • Following the match, an angry HOOK grabbed a microphone and called out Chris Jericho, which led to Jericho and Big Bill coming out to the ring in response. After some back and forth banter between Jericho and HOOK, Jericho stated that HOOK shouldn’t be selfish and the world doesn’t revolve around him. Jericho also stated that if he retires then he will be inducted into every pro wrestling hall of fame but he is not ready for that yet in response to the crowd chants of “Please retire.” Jericho state that he will offer HOOK a match for his FTW title but he first must win a qualifier match to potentially earn it. HOOK responded stating “that sounds great. You know what else sounds great?” Before Jericho could respond, HOOK struck Jericho with his microphone leading to a brawl breaking out with Big Bill joining in. This led to Katsuyori Shibata running out to save HOOK and cleared the ring of The Learning Tree.
  4. AEW World Championship Eliminator match – Swerve Strickland defeated Brian Cage via House Call (pinfall)
    • Following the match, Strickland went out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair and proceeded to attack Cage until Christian Cage & The Patriarchy came out to interrupt. While Strickland was distracted by Christian, Nick Wayne ran out from the crowd and hit a low blow laying out Strickland. Wayne and Killswitch attacked Strickland leading to Wayne breaking a picture frame containing a photo of Strickland’s family over Strickland’s head busting him open. Christian walked down to the ring and talked about how Strickland attacked his “son” Wayne months ago and accused Strickland of being an “absentee father.” Christian then rubbed the photo of Strickland’s famuly all over Strickland’s bloody head and stated that he took Strickland’s blood and at Double or Nothing, he will take his World Championship.
  5. Grudge match – “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Harley Cameron via Storm Zero (pinfall)
  6. AEW Continental Championship – Kazuchika Okada (c) defeated Darby Allin via Rainmaker (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Okada attempted to hit Harwood with his AEW Continental title only for the referee to grab the title away from him. While the referee was disctracted, Okada kicked the ropes as Harwood was trying to get back into the ring low blowing him in the process. Okada hit a Rainmaker for the pinfall victory to retain his title.
    • Following the match, Okada attacked Harwood leading to The Elite, Cash Wheeler, and Bryan Danielson all running out and engaging in a big brawl. After The Elite managed to gain the advantage, Darby Allin’s music played and ran out with a skateboard in his hand. Allin attacked The Elite and helped Team AEW clear the ring of them. It was announced that Allin will be officially replacing Eddie Kingston for Team AEW in the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024.

TNT Title Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match Set for AEW Double or Nothing 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Malakai Black accepting Adam Copeland’s challange for a TNT Championship Barbed Wire Steel Cage match at Double or Nothing 2024, which takes place on May 26th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the show, Copeland came out to hear Black’s response to his recent match challenge. Before Copeland could make his way to the ring, House of Black’s Buddy Matthews and Brody King ran out and attacked Copeland. Matthews and King continued their attack sending Copeland into the ring as Black made his way out to the ring with the TNT title in his hand. Black grabbed a microphone and talked about Copeland’s challenge to him before telling the crowd to shut up after they interrupted him. Black told Matthews to remove Copeland’s wedding ring, which Matthews did and handed it to Black. This led to Kyle O’Reilly running out trying to save Copeland only to get quickly beaten up instead. House of Black then placed a steel chair and TNT title in between Copeland and hit a triple dropkick before walking away.

In a follow-up segment, Black was seen backstage holding up Copeland’s wedding ring and talked about Copeland’s challenge to him for a barbed wire steel cage match for the TNT title. Black accepted the challenge but with the stipulation that when he beats Copeland, then Copeland has to bend the knee and join House of Black.


AEW Provided Injury Update for Eddie Kingston

As noted before, Eddie Kingston suffered a leg injury at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Resurgence 2024 event this past Saturday in Ontario, California. Kingston’s status for the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW’s upcoming Double or Nothing 2024 event was expected to be in serious doubt.

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured AEW providing an update on Kingston’s injury and health status.

During the show, AEW commentator Excalibur confirmed that Kingston had suffered an injury at NJPW’s event but gave no other details regarding Kingston’s current status for Double or Nothing 2024.

In a follow-up segment, The Elite were seen backstage and commented about Kingston’s current situation. Matthew Jackson stated that Kingston was “bitten by the injury bug.” Perry responded that Anarchy in the Arena looks like to a 4 vs. 3 match unless Team AEW can find a new partner that wants to work with them and suggested they could always forfeit the match. Kazuchika Okada responded talking about his match with Dax Harwood tonight and called him a “bitch.”


Darby Allin Makes Surprise Return & Replaces Eddie Kingston for Anarchy in the Arena Match

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Darby Allin making his surprise return from injury.

Following Kazuchika Okada’s victory over Dax Harwood to retain his AEW Continental Championship, Okada attacked Harwood leading to The Elite, Cash Wheeler, and Bryan Danielson all running out and engaging in a brawl. The Elite managed to get the upper hand over Team AEW due to the numbers advantage until Allin’s music played interrupting their attack. Allin ran out with a skateboard in his hand and attacked The Elite helping Team AEW clear the ring of them.

AEW commentator Excalibur stated if this meant that Allin was now on Team AEW as Kingston replacement for their Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024. A match graphic aired right afterwards confirming the change made for the match.

This was Allin’s first appearance in AEW since this past March due to a broken foot injury.

Christopher Daniels Gets “Fired” by Young Bucks at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Christopher Daniels being “fired” from AEW by the Young Bucks.

Following the Young Bucks’ victory over Matt Sydal & Daniels in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator match, the Young Bucks grabbed a microphone and responded to Daniels actions towards them last week. The Young Bucks stated that they have been trying to clean up the locker room and after what Daniels did last week, they are the bearing of bad news. This bad news was Daniels being fired from AEW. The Young Bucks stated for Daniels to not worry since they will take care of his family with a severance package and pay for 30 days. The Young Bucks then called for security to escort Daniels out of the building. Matthew Jackson then mockingly thanked Daniels for all of his five years of work in AEW. Jack Perry, who was seated at the AEW commentary table, raised a toast to Daniels and took a sip before pouring the rest of his Woo Energy drink all over Tony Schiavone’s head and mocked Schiavone before leaving while an upset Schiavone called Perry a “son of a bitch” in response.


Willow Nightingale Powerbombs Mercedes Mone at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Mercedes Mone being involved in a physical segment for the first time since her debut in AEW.

During the show, Mone and Willow Nightingale came out to the ring for their contract signing segment for the TBS Championship match at Double or Nothing 2024.

Nightingale was the first to speak and stated that she respects Mone but wants to know if Mone respects the TBS title. Nightingale stated that it is a championship that celebrates the legacy of pro wrestling and a legacy that dates back over fifty years on this channel. After some more words by Nighignale talking about every woman who has held the title represents that legacy and being the face of TBS, Nightingale stated that she will not stand by and let Mercedes walk into AEW and take that all away.

Mone responded telling the Everett crowd to say hello to their CEO and proceeded to run down Nightingale and claimed that she was building something up for everyone and breaking the glass ceiling. Mone claimed that Nightingale would not be here if it wasn’t for her. Mone stated that she respects the champion but there is a difference between being great and being the greatest of all time. After some more words by Mone boasting about herself, Nightingale responded stating that the last time they wrestled, she walked away as champion and Mercedes didn’t walk away at all.

This led to Mone slapping Nightingale in the face and Nightingale responding attacking Mone and powerbombed her through the table. As security and AEW officials rushed to the ring, Nightingale walked away with her TBS title.
