    • Following the match, Copeland attacked Matthews and prepared to give him a conchairto before the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Malakai Black was in the ring next to Copeland and told him to strike Matthews while Matthews told him the same. Copeland hesitated at first before turning to Black but before he could do anything, the lights went out and when they came back on, both Black and Matthews had disappeared from the ring. AEW commentator Tony Schiavone stated that it was the effects of Black’s mist attack to Copeland at AEW Dynasty that was causing Copeland to act evil to explain his heelish actions tonight.

  3. FTW Championship – Chris Jericho (c) defeated Katsuyori Shibata via Pinfall

    • Near the end of the match, Deeb locked in a Single Leg Crab that May was unable to escape from and repeadily smashed May’s knee while in the hold for extra damage. During the show, Strickland and Prince Nana came out to the ring and Strickland talked about The Elite’s attack on AEW CEO Tony Khan calling them “bitches” for what they did. Strickland stated that he was to find out who would be his challenger for his AEW World title at Double or Nothing 2024 and called for this person to come out. Before anything could happen, The Young Bucks appeared on the big screen and mentioned that they were also champions as well and held up their AEW World Tag Team titles. This led to a brief brawl between Strickland and The Patriarchy that ended with Killswitch laying out Strickland with a headbutt and Cage followed by hitting a Killswitch to Strickland onto the AEW World title. The Patriarchy then attacked Nana laying him out as well. Cage then grabbed the microphone and stated that there is one thing you should know about Cage is that he does not forget. This “injury” took place following the Parking Lot Brawl match between Taylor and Trent Beretta that involved Beretta striking Taylor’s ankle with a wrench through a car glass window.

During the show, Cassidy came out to the ring and stated that he was hoping after Saturday that the three of them would be best friends again. Cassidy stated that this will never happen again and revealed that Taylor will never wrestle again due to the injuries he had suffered at the hands of Beretta at last week’s rampage show. Cassidy then stated that he now stands alone in the ring and the next time he sees Trent. Before Cassidy could finish, Beretta came out to interrupt and called Cassidy selfish for making Chuck’s career ending injury be all about hum instead. This led to Cassidy running out of the ring and charged at Beretta only to be stopped by security and Kris Statlander. Don Callis came out and whispered something to Cassidy’s ear before the two left together to the back. Beretta looked on over what just happened before taunting the crowd before he left as well.

In a follow-up segment, Renee Paquette interviewed Rocky Romero backstage to get his thoughts about the Best Friends breaking apart as a group. Romero stated that he has had enough of what was going on between Beretta and Cassidy and stated that he was done being in the group and would now be on his own. Omega talked about how his doctors told him if he does not do the surgery, then he could spend the rest of his life with a ticking time bomb in his body that could go off at any moment. Omega then talked about how he stopped watching AEW programming because of how scared he was of coming out to announce his retirement. Ospreay stated that watching the show made him happy again and his hands started shaking in excitement. After some more words, Omega stated that it doesn’t matter what the percentage is nor how low it is since he is not ready to give up until he is completely exhausted.
