Quick Match Results

  1. NXT Women’s North American Championship Ladder Qualifying match – Fallon Henley defeated Thea Hail via Shinning Wizard (pinfall)
    • During the match, Henley grabbed a chair from under the ring while the referee was distracted over checking on Hail in the ring. Before Henley could do anything with the chair, Chase U and Ridge Holland confronted Henley and Holland took the chair away. This led to the referee turning around and noticed Holland with the chair and threw out both Holland and Chase U over thinking they were going to interfere.
    • Following the match, Jazmyn Nyx ran out and attacked Hail while Henley looked on happily over it.
  2. NXT Tag Team Championship – Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) defeated The D’Angelo Family (Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino) via Roll-up (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, No Quarter Catch Crew ran out from the crowd and attacked Tony D’Angelo leading to Stacks getting distracted and Frazer rolling him up to retain the NXT Tag Team titles.
    • Following the match, No Quarter Catch Crew and D’Angelo Family brawled their way to the back while The O.C. ran out from the crowd and attacked Frazer & Axiom from behind in the ring laying them out.
  3. NXT North American Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat match – Wes Lee and Joe Coffey defeated Josh Briggs via Double Pin
    • Near the end of the match, Gallus attacked Briggs on the outside while the referee was not looking and tossed him back into the ring. After some brief back-and-forth action between Lee and Coffey, Coffey hit a headbutt to Lee causing Lee and himself to fall onto Briggs for the double pinfall.
  4. NXT Women’s North American Championship Ladder Qualifying match – Jaida Parker defeated Brinley Reece via Tear Drop Hip Check (pinfall)
  5. Dante Chen defeated Lexis King via Inside Cradle (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, King came out for his entrance and was followed by Mr. Stone who came out next and revealed King’s opponent would be Chen making his official return to NXT’s main show.
    • Near the end of the match, Mr. Stone got up on the apron to distract King leading to Chen catching King in a roll-up for the pinfall victory.
  6. Karmen Petrovic & Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler & Lola Vice via Hart Attack (pinfall)
    • Petrovic pinned Vice after Natalya & Petrovic hit a double team Heart Attack for their team’s victory.
    • Following the match, Vice turned on Baszler and attacked her leading to Baszler recovering and choked Vice out. This led to WWE officials running out trying to break up the brawl and NXT General Manager Ava coming out and officially announced that Baszler and Vice would be competing against each other at NXT Battleground 2024. Baszler responded stating that this match would be held as a NXT Underground match.

New Wendy Choo Return Teaser Airs on Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s taped NXT show featured WWE airing a new teaser for Wendy Choo’s upcoming return to their NXT brand.

During recent week shows, WWE aired several video teasers of a blacked out screen and someone being heard snoring in the background, which resembled Choo.

During tonight’s show, WWE aired a new video teaser featuring Choo waking up from her long sleep and getting out of bed.

This was Choo’s first on-screen appearance in NXT since March of 2023 due to an undisclosed injury.

Fallon Henley & Jaida Parker Advances to Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at NXT Battleground 2024

Tuesday’s taped NXT show also featured two qualifying matches for the NXT Women’s North American Championship match at NXT Battleground 2024.

The first qualifying match was Fallon Henley defeating Thea Hail.

The second qualifying match was Jaida Parker defeating Brinley Reece.

As a result of their victories, Henley and Parker joins Sol Ruca and Lash Legends who have officially qualified for the NXT Women’s North American Championship Ladder match at NXT Battleground 2024.

Updated NXT North American Title Match Set for NXT Battleground 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured one new updated match for the card of NXT Battleground 2024.

This newly updated match was a NXT North American Championship match of Wes Lee vs. Joe Coffey vs. Oba Femi (c).

This updated match was setup following Lee and Coffey both winning the #1 Contender Triple Threat match for the NXT North American title at the show.

Near the end of the match, Gallus attacked Josh Briggs on the outside while the referee was not looking and tossed him back into the ring. Lee and Coffey went back-and-forth in the ring for a bit near Briggs’ knockout body resulting in Coffey hitting a headbutt to Lee but caused both of them to get knocked out and fell onto Briggs for the double pinfall victory. As a result, Coffey and Lee were both announced as the match victors.

In a follow-up segment, NXT General Manager Ava was in her office watching the television before being interrupted by Femi. Femi asked what would be happening to his title match at Battleground 2024 which led to Ava stating that since Lee and Coffey both won, he will now be defending his title in a Triple Threat match.

Women’s NXT Underground & NXT Women’s Title Matches Announced for NXT Battleground 2024

Tuesday’s taped NXT show also featured two new matches announced for the card of NXT Battleground 2024, which takes place on June 9th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first new match announced was a Women’s NXT Underground match of Lola Vice vs. Shayna Baszler.

This match was setup following Karmen Petrovic & Natalya defeating Vice and Baszler in a tag team match on the show. Following the match, Vice turned on Baszler and attacked her leading to a brief brawl breaking out between the two. This led to NXT officials running out trying to stop the brawl and NXT General Manager Ava coming out and announced that Vice and Baszler will settle their issues in a match against each other at NXT Battleground 2024. Baszler responded stating that this match would be held as a Women’s NXT Underground match.

The second new match announced was a NXT Women’s Championship match of mystery opponent vs. Roxanne Perez (c).

This match was setup following a backstage segment involving NXT GM Ava being in her office and talking to someone on the phone. Ava stated that she had talked to RAW GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and both are on board with her choice for Perez’s opponent for her NXT Women’s title match at NXT Battleground 2024. Ava also stated that this mystery opponent will be officially revealed at next week’s show.
