Sunday’s NJPW Dominion 2024 event in Osaka, Japan, New Japan Pro Wrestling featured one new match set for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event, which takes place on June 30th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
This new match was an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match of Tetsuya Naito vs. Jon Moxley (c).
This match was setup following Moxley’s victory over EVIL to retain the IWGP World title in a Lumberjack Deathmatch. Following the match, Moxley gave a promo and stated that he was opening the door and called for his next challenger for his title to come out. After a brief pause, Naito came out to the ring and accepted Moxley’s challenge for Forbidden Door 2024.
