Trent Beretta Reportedly Out of Action with Injury
Trent Beretta reportedly is currently out of action for AEW due to an injury, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that Beretta has been out of action since this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 event. While the nature of the injury was not disclosed, it was reported that Beretta had not been medically cleared to compete for “quite some time.”
AEW officials reportedly had planned for Beretta to be given a big push prior to his injury.
It was reported that the post-match angle between Orange Cassidy and Beretta at Saturday’s AEW Collision show was meant to be AEW officials way of writing Beretta out of his feud with Cassidy due to Beretta’s injury situation. This angle involved Cassidy laying out Beretta with a wrench as payback for Beretta costing his tag team match with Kyle O’Reilly against The Undisputed Kingdom.
