As noted before, Ricochet is currently expected to be leaving WWE once his contract expires in the first half of this summer. Ricochet made his final scheduled appearance for WWE on the June 10th WWE RAW show that was notable for Ricochet being written out of the company following an attack by Bron Breakker.
WWE moved Ricochet’s profile to the Alumni section on their website on Sunday fueling online rumors that his contract had expired that day.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Ricochet’s contract with WWE expired on Monday and is currently a free agent. It was reported that the timing of Ricochet’s contract expiration was the reason why he could not make an appearance at AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door 2024 event the day before.
Those spoken to within WWE and AEW reportedly stated that they currently expect Ricochet to join AEW.
In regards to potential plans for Ricochet in AEW, it was reported that Ricochet is not currently planned to be Will Ospreay’s opponent for this August’s All In 2024 event at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
