As noted before, Bobby Lashley’s contract with WWE is currently set to expire within this August. Lashley and MVP are currently expected to be leaving WWE once their contracts expire and reform the Hurt Business group.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Lashley’s contract with WWE is currently set to expire this weekend. Those spoken to reportedly confirmed that MVP’s contract has already expired.
Those spoken to during SummerSlam 2024 weekend reportedly stated that they were under the impression that Lashley would be leaving WWE and WWE officials had no creative plans for him going forward.
In regards to Lashley’s next home for his career, it was reported that Lashley’s name has been discussed backstage within AEW since news of his expiring contract status had emerged. It was reported that AEW officials have not made any offer to Lashley yet due to him still being under contract with WWE.
Besides AEW, Lashley reportedly currently has interest from MMA promotions and also in Japan.
Those spoken to close to Lashley reportedly stated that they believe he will make at least one appearance in AEW and he is ready to return to wrestling television.
