AEW held a new set of television tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.
This taping will be for this week’s Collision Grand Slam 2024 episode on Saturday, September 28th.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, Minoru Suzuki made a surprise return appearance to AEW. Suzuki was revealed to be the mystery challenger for Jack Perry’s TNT Championship Open Challenge match at the tapings.
Full results from AEW Collision tapings on September 25th:
- TNT Championship Open Challenge match – Jack Perry (c) defeated Minoru Suzuki. Following the match, Perry attacked Suzuki leading to Katsuyori Shibata running out to save Suzuki.
- Brody King defeated Action Andretti. Following the match, Lance Archer & The Righteous ran out and attacked Andretti leading to Top Flight saving Andretti and AEW officials running out to seperate the two groups.
- Tornado Trios match – The Learning Tree (Chris Jericho, Big Bill, & Bryan Keith) defeated The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, & Mark Briscoe)
- Saraya’s Rules match – Jamie Hayter defeated Saraya
- Lumberjack Strap match – Hangman Adam Page defeated Jeff Jarrett
- AEW World Trios Championship – Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, & Wheeler Yuta (c) defeated Komander & Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy). Following the match, Yuta refused to let go of his Cattle Mutilation hold leading to Castagnoli giving a slow clap in appreciation to Yuta.
- Lucha Libre Three-Way match – Hologram defeated The Beast Mortos & Dralistico. Following the match, Mortos and Dralistico attacked Hologram leading to RUSH coming out and joined in on the attack.
- MxM Collection held their Fashion Week Grande Finale for the unveiling of Max Caster’s jacket makeover. This jacket was on a masked model they called Hans who was revealed to be Billy Gunn when unmasked. This led to Gunn attacking MxM Collection and The Acclaimed running out to join in on the attack.
- AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match – AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada defeated Sammy Guevara
