Oct. 12th AEW Collision Show Airing Status Update – Collision Not Expected to Air New Show That Week

As noted before, the airing status of AEW’s Collision show on October 12th is currently in doubt due to AEW holding their WrestleDream 2024 event that night in Tacoma, Washington.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the current belief is that AEW will not be airing a new Collision show on October 12th.

Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that as of Thursday, AEW officials current plan was to not hold a Collision show that night. Those spoken to reportedly stated that the option of AEW holding another three-hour Friday block of Collision and Rampage shows on October 11th is far less likely to happen. Meltzer reported that the reason is due to the last time it happened for All Out 2024, Collision’s ratings were killed going head-to-head against WWE’s SmackDown show that night.

Meltzer reported that if AEW were to hold a new Collision show that week, it would have to be taped on Tuesday, October 8th as part of AEW’s Dynamite and Rampage tapings that night. Meltzer also reported that week’s Rampage show is currently scheduled to air on its normal time slot on October 11th.
